Web design in Gainesville, from two people who live here

This is the home market, not a city name rented for a landing page. K & A Performance is based in Gainesville, the work is done in Gainesville, and if you want the first conversation to happen across a table instead of over email, that is a short drive rather than a flight.

Who you are actually hiring

Two people, and you will deal with both of them. Alex Anderson does the design and the development, so whoever drew your layout is also the one writing the code, and nothing gets mistranslated in a handoff between departments that do not exist. Kristina Anderson runs strategy and content, which in practice means she is the one asking why a page exists at all and what it is supposed to make somebody do once they are on it.

There is no account manager in the middle, no ticket queue, and nobody junior quietly doing the work at midnight. The trade is that we take on fewer projects than an agency would. The upside is that the people who pitched you are the people who build it, and they are still answering the email a year later.

Meeting in person is on the table

Most of the work runs over email, shared links, and a staging site you can open whenever you like, and plenty of clients never want more than that. But a first meeting in a room is genuinely faster for some businesses. Watching an owner describe their busiest hour, or point at the one thing on their current site that makes the phone ring, tells us more in twenty minutes than a questionnaire does in a week. If that sounds like you, say so and we will come to you.

It also means the site does not disappear into an inbox after launch. When something needs changing before an event, a season, or a grant deadline, you are asking a neighbour rather than opening a support case.

The towns we count as neighbours

Alachua, Newberry, High Springs and Ocala are close enough that we treat them exactly like Gainesville: same in-person option, same response times, same pricing. Small towns tend to get the worst of the web industry. A site a relative built years ago and cannot update, or a monthly platform fee paid forever for the privilege of not being allowed to edit your own opening hours. Both are fixable, and neither requires you to be inside the city limits to get help with it.

Gainesville is still winnable

This is a market where good work still shows. Plenty of businesses here have no site worth the name, and plenty more have one nobody has opened on a phone since it launched. Ranking for a search with Gainesville attached comes down to a Google Business Profile that matches your site exactly, pages that say something true and specific about what you do here, and reviews from people who really came in. We do the on-site half properly and hand you a short, honest list for the rest, because the parts we cannot do for you are the parts that move the map.

And if what you actually want is AI working inside the business rather than a new site, that exists too: the 90-Day AI Launch is twelve weekly working sessions with a Gainesville developer, ending with a real workflow running in your own accounts.

What we build here

Every project starts with the same question: what does this site have to do, and what is stopping it. From there it is usually some mix of these four.

The proof is already around town. Project Makeover, the nonprofit based out of the University of Florida that remakes a school in a single weekend, runs on a site we built. So does the Florida Disability Access and Awareness Foundation, a Gainesville nonprofit, and so does Dancing Crafter. The studio itself is Gainesville, and so is a good share of the work.

Building in Jacksonville or further up the coast instead? That runs remote, and it is described on the Jacksonville page.

Let's talk about it locally

Tell us what the site has to do and we will tell you what it would take, what it would cost, and whether it is worth doing at all. Coffee optional. The quote is free either way.
